Group Fitness Class Descriptions

MYZONE Spring Break Boot Camp - A seven week program designed to improve your overall fitness level just in time for Spring Break! The program includes a MYZONE belt (optional), t-shirt, fitness assessment, custom workouts, door prizes, & motivation!

 

Register at the Student Recreation Control desk.

 

Fee: $55.00 w/MYZONE belt
$15.00 w/o MYZONE belt

 

MYZONE Party Cycle – Cycling is a great cardio workout on an indoor stationary bike listening to FUN music. It works for beginners as well as for elite athletes because you control the intensity as you cycle flat roads and killer hills.

 

Yoga Chill – This class will help you focus on your body, mind, and spirit through a series of basic standing and seated poses. Yoga increases flexibility and relieves you from the stresses of the day.

 

Shake & Shimmy - Shake & Shimmy your body into awesome shape! This fun cardio dance class will have you grooving to routines inspired by popular music.

 

Jabs & Abs - A boxing circuit designed to improve your strength and fit¬ness. A great mix of boxing, core strength, resis¬tance work and cardio.

 

MYZONE Circuit Fit - This combination of strength and cardiovascular exercise circuit class will help you reach your fitness goals.

 

Step It Up - This class features high energy aerobic conditioning utilizing a step platform. Stepping up and down, is a fun, up-beat, fast paced, high energy, class for anyone looking to get a great workout.

 

Power Yoga - A challenging, flowing sequence of poses that wakes up your body, increases your heart rate and makes you sweat.

 

*MYZONE is an innovative wearable heart rate based system that uses wireless and cloud technology to accurately and conveniently monitor physical activity. MYZONE monitors heart rate, calories and time exercising that convert into MYZONE Effort Points (MEPs), with a focus on rewarding effort rather than fitness.

 

*MYZONE Classes - MYZONE belts may be purchased at the Student Recreation Center Control Desk.

 

*MYZONE belts are not required to attend the classes.
