The cover letter is your chance to impress your potential employer. Make two lists before writing the letter. Second, make a list of your greatest strengths. Matching both will be a convincing argument that you are the best person for the job.
The cover letter should present you as a person. Always start by stressing academic coursework you have completed in the job-related field(s). Continue with your leadership and work experience. When describing academic experience, activities, offices held, or work experience, use words that show progress and accomplishments. Use action words, avoid the passive voice, and use self-descriptive words.
